Weston Photography Newsletter - February 2010
Greetings,
Hope this February
day finds you all in good spirits! We had one warm day last week
but today the winter wind has picked up again. Much like the
weather we have been having these past 4 weeks which has been
windy, rainy and cold! We do love the winter weather though; it
brings us much needed water and huge spectacular waves. And it
makes our morning walk so interesting.
Starting in
November, I started going up to San Francisco to take classes
from
Learnit.com, a San Francisco Bay Area, Computer,
Professional Development and IT Training Company. I took Dream
Weaver, Illustrator, Website Theory and Guided Website design.
It was fun to go up and stay in the city for the 4 classes, and
now they have just launched a program called “Learn It from
Anywhere”. A really cool program that allows you to take classes
on your own computer from anywhere. (It does have to be on
Windows). As we speak I am retaking an online web design class.
We are using Microsoft Office Live with conference calling. It’s
pretty sophisticated if you ask me. You get to see the desktop,
the teacher’s workspace (I have 2 monitors) just as if you were
in the classroom, you can hear the lesson and interact over the
conference call. I am glad to retake it at home and I recommend
it to all of you out there that have a PC to work on.
The February POM
is up for viewing you can see it at
Kim took this at a workshop in Fort Collins a couple of years
ago. Don’t forget it’s the last year to join.
