"My little
gray home in the West" by Edward Weston
Come stay at
Wildcat Hill, home of the late Edward Weston. Immerse yourself in the
historical feelings that surround the “little house with the big mood”.
We would like to offer our guest studio “Bodie House” as a retreat for
photographers during our workshops. Bodie House was originally the writing
studio of Charis Weston, wife and model of Edward Weston. You can come and
stay during the workshop in Bodie House and experience the feelings Edward
had while he lived here.
We are also offering it to others for 1- 5 nights. Experience the warmth,
beauty and charm of Wildcat Hill. It is a great opportunity for those
wanting to explore the Monterey Peninsula, Big Sur Coast and of course the
famous “Point Lobos State Park”. Bring your camera, photograph the grounds,
and visit this unique area surrounding the Carmel Highlands.
Cost is 175.00 per night, which includes Queen Bed, sitting room looking out
at a wonderfully wooded garden setting (birds), small kitchenette (set up
for light fixings, coffee, tea, refrigerator not equipped for cooking) and a
private bath. We now have wireless DSL for your laptops and some cell phone
coverage.
