Edward, Brett, Kim and Zach Weston
We are getting ready for our Four Generations of Weston: Black and White at the Viewpoint Gallery in Sacramento. If the attendance is anything like it was at the National Steinbeck Center in 2014, we are in for a great celebration. There will be 2 openings. One will be an Invitational Artists Reception on Friday April 8, 6-8:30PM. The second opening will be the public opening on Saturday April 9 5-9PM. It will coincide with 2nd Saturday Art Walk in downtown Sacramento, when galleries and local businesses host an open house evening starting from 5:30-9PM. The Viewpoint Gallery will be showing the DVD "Growing up Weston" for a select group on Saturday afternoon.
We know many of you will not be able to attend so we wanted to share some of the photographs that will be in the show. Over 70 silver gelatin black and white photographs will be on view from Wednesday, April 6 to June 4, 2016. We hope you enjoy them and please make a point to come and say hello if you are coming to any of the openings or attending the Growing up Weston - film screening.

Paris Photo 2015
It has been almost 4 weeks since we returned from Paris, France. We planned our trip there to coincide with The 2015 Paris Photo. We were there during the terrorist attacks that occurred on the evening of Friday the 13th. It was an eery night, as we were sitting at the Mini Palais finishing dinner, everyone including our friends, started getting texts and phone calls. We were told about the terrorist attacks and that the attack was over but we needed to leave the restaurant right away as we were in a high profile target area. The Mini Palais is located in the Grand Palais where Paris Photo was held. Here are some photographs from the Paris Photo show. I have many more of our trip but they will come later. We hope you enjoy them. Thank you to everyone who reached out to us while we were in Paris! We felt the love pouring out. :)

Happy Thanksgiving! Home from Beijing!
We have returned home from The National Art Museum of China. We are very honored and proud to be part of this significant historical show in Beijing. Kim sat on several different discussion panels, was filmed photographing for Chinese TV, gave a lecture at one of the most prominent universities and much more!

Journey of the Heart: The National Art Museum of China 1839-2014
The 2014 “Journey of the Heart: Exhibition of Straight Photography Original Prints 1839-2014” will be a milestone as the beginning part of the “International Photographic Collection Series”. This exhibition attempts to reproduce a clear thread in the history of photography, along which developments of straight photography are combed through. Many photographic masterworks familiar to the public will be on display for the first time at the NAMOC.
