Weston Photography's March 2020 Print of the Month is Wood & Ice Abstract

Size: 8x10 print mounted to 16x20 museum-quality mat-board.

Medium: Silver gelatin print.

Edward Weston believed that "photography [was] a poor man's art and anyone who wants to own a print should be able to" which is why he, with his last wife Charis Wilson, began producing Prints of the Month.

As per family tradition, every month for the last 18 years, Kim and Gina release an 8x10 silver gelatin Print of the Month (POM) for a special price which can be purchased individually or as part of the year's POM Portfolio.

III & IV

2019 was truly memorable as it was the first time Kim and Zach collaborated on a project together. Kim really enjoyed structuring the Print of the Month in this way, as he was able to not only work closely with his son, but also provide helpful insight to Zach in the artistic process of photography. As the year comes to a close, we have realized that there is still so much room to grow artistically through this collaboration and both Kim and Zach were left with a feeling of wanting more.

We have decided to keep the creative juices flowing and continue with the Print of the Month in 2020, keeping the same father son format as we did in 2019.

The 2020 Print of the Month portfolio is unique as it will consist of landscapes/still lifes and break away from the traditional figure photography format that we have been following since 2001. We are so excited for next year and hope you come along with us as we continue to create beautiful hand crafted silver gelatin photographs. There will be 12 prints in total, 6 from Kim, and 6 from Zach with each artist sending out their signature image every other month. The prints will be 8x10 mounted on 16x20 mattboard. If you purchase the whole set, you will also receive a unique, portfolio box to house all of your prints.
