Greetings!
As 2019 is coming to a close, Kim, Zach and I want to thank each and everyone of you for being a part of our creative process! Time goes by so quickly and when things happen so seamlessly and you often forget how people touch your lives. Last year was no exception. We thank our collectors for their ongoing support. We just got the beautiful portfolio cases for the 2019 III & IV (Father and Son) Print of the Month Portfolio! We can't wait to ship them out they are a new color, blue! So excited for you to see them!
We met and worked with so many wonderfully creative photographers and models. Our students truly pushed themselves, and were eager to learn new skills and taking the steps to further their creative pursuits. Often times we have photographers that are a little bit nervous to work with Kim, but the response is always the same. They felt at ease in his tutelage, learned so much, it was so inspirational, mind blowing, and wished they had come for a private workshop a long time ago! Then they take their learned skills home to work on their photography. I am in awe of this and feel truly blessed to watch this process. Kim also works closely with our son Zach in such a compassionate way. He is always teaching, including him and wanting him to excel in his creative pursuits. Together with you, we are creating a legacy of Black and White Photography that will live on in all of our work.
The Weston Collective Community Darkroom opened last December and Zach has shown an amazing capability of running the foundation, teaching elementary students the process of black and white printing, hosting workshops with local photographers and fundraising! Besides running the darkroom, he has updated the digital studio space with a Canon Pro 2000, Epson scanner, a calibrated monitor, and select paper with profiles for printing beautiful images; thanks to the generous sponsorship of Freestyle Photographic Supplies. Somehow he even finds time to take some of his own images, all the while being an integral part of our business, Weston Photography. The Weston Collective is included in the end of the year Fundraising Campaign MCGives. We thank all of you that have donated to our foundation! Kudos to you, Zach!!
