Improving the Photographic Nude in Big Sur
It is a treat to return to the ridges of Big Sur in September and take in the beauty the landscape has to offer. Set high atop a mountain, our Big Sur location emanates what life in Big Sur is actually like. With a pool, lush gardens, and beautiful views, you really get the full experience when working up there. Along with our Big Sur location, we will also have the ability to photograph two days on Wildcat Hill, an inspirational location all on its own. Wildcat Hill was Edward Weston’s last residence and where he lived from 1938 - 1958. During this time he made many iconic photographs at his beloved Point Lobos. Participants have the opportunity to photograph the grounds on Wildcat Hill, considered holy land in the world of photographers. We are excited to welcome our group of photographers later this fall to create ever lasting images.
Fine Art Models
We have a stellar line up of models that will be joining us in September for our Big Sur and Wildcat Hill photography workshop. Vivian and Anoush have modeled for Weston Workshops in the past, however Sienna is new to us. We are very excited to have her join the team and can’t wait to meet her. Our participants are in for a creative weekend with amazing models and locations. Fall can’t come soon enough!
Big Sur
The location says it all. Big Sur is one of the most visited areas in the world. Unfortunately for most, they don’t experience the true meaning of Big Sur. They end up driving down Highway 1 with everyone else and cause a traffic scene when trying to pull off to see Bixby Bridge. Our participants get to visit a true old school Big Sur property on top of a ridge that has been in their family for generations. You can feel the creativity in this place without even picking up the camera! It is so much fun working up there and we are so thankful for the family that allows us to host our workshop on their property.
