Following the Weston Legacy - 1 Space Open - Email or Call soon!
This two-day nude workshop (meet and greet on Friday evening 5-7 pm) offers a special opportunity for students to explore nude photography while learning about the Weston family's historic contributions to fine art photography at Wildcat Hill.
Photograph for 2 full days
Participants will get the opportunity to photograph the nude figure in 2 consecutive days. This allows time to get comfortable working with nude models and gives you another opportunity to photograph what you might have missed on the first day.
Working with Nude Models
We will focus on how to approach and work with models. Communication, composition, lighting are all important factors in getting a good photograph. Preconceived ideas; what are you photographing? What do you hope to get out of a session?
Locations
The class size is kept small with good model - student ratio. On the premises there will be several areas indoors and outdoors available to be photographing the nude in. Working in this way we have a maximum of time, space and privacy. If time permits one-on-one time with models may be arranged.
What to bring
Participants are encouraged to bring a portfolio of their work for viewing. 5 to 7 finished prints that have been matted and or presented for easy viewing. Students should bring their own film and equipment.
Dinner on Saturday Night
Guests will enjoy a Saturday-night dinner in our home and a fireside discussion of photography.
Experience
This nude workshop is open to all levels of experience and to film and digital cameras. Any size camera, film or digital is good for this class. Students must know how to operate their cameras.
