The Monterey Museum of Art has re-opened after getting a major makeover! Stuart and his staff did a tremendous job remodeling the museum and giving it a new and improved feel. The current exhibitions are breathtaking and are worth viewing alone, despite the museum's new look. 

Focusing In is a series of blogs that will highlight the many historic significances of Wildcat Hill, Edward Weston’s last residence before his death in 1958. Each week we will select a unique photograph, artifact, or piece of memorabilia that we believe is significant and worth looking into. Please accompany us on this journey into photographic history, you won’t be disappointed.

Catalina or 'Cat' for short, is drawn to whatever brings people together to make and share art.  She has modeled on catwalks, performed in musical stage shows, and danced on sand dunes in pursuit of artistic adventure.  Her multicultural heritage gives her work depth, complexity, and uniqueness.  There’s nothing that delights her more than helping people to actualize their creative dreams and visions.  With extensive experience & training in Dance, Yoga, Martial Arts, Performance Art, and Photography she uses movement and feline prowess to unlock the poetry of the moment.  She loves collaborations characterized by engagement, passion, poetry, and adventure.

Depth of Field is a biennial event curated by Rfotofolio in collaboration with many of the photographers that have shared their work with us. We are honored to have the Depth of Field 2018 Exhibition at the Center for Photographic Art.

On Wednesday, Kim and Zach Weston went out with Rob and Annie Given for a landscape tutorial. The day started out at Point Lobos, walking the trails that hug the Pacific Ocean. 

On Saturday, January 6, 2018, join Roman Loranc, the Weston family, and the Center for Photographic Art's (CPA) executive director, Brian Taylor, for an intimate dinner party at Edward Weston's home on Wildcat Hill! 

The party will be held following the opening of Roman's upcoming show at the CPA, Poetry of the Lens and is limited to 10 guests.
