Seraphina

My name is Seraphina. I was born in raised in San Francisco and have worked as a creative art model for the last six years. During my time as a model, I have had the privilege of getting to work with many like-minded creatives and photographers creating art from editorial to fine art nude work. I have been published and featured in a handful of magazines which showcase the fine art nude and editorial work I’ve done in previous years. I started modeling because I have always seen beauty in the human body and its ability to change and morph. Modeling showcases the intricacies and details of every individual, which displays how uniquely different we all are. With that mindset, I’ve always aspired to project that same inspiration from modeling through the art I create with others.

Her silly, free-spirited personality is sure to make any collaborative experience wholesome and fulfilling.

Gazzelle Powers

Gazelle began modeling at 30, a time that most professional models are considering retirement, to be a part of the creative process from the other side of the lens. She has been involved with art her entire life in various forms (dance, painting, drawing, photography, sewing/costuming, and more). And for her, modeling is an art that uses the body as its medium. Her background in dance, martial arts, yoga, and sign language lends to the dynamic and expressiveness of her posing. She has now been a traveling art model for almost 10 years. And looking forward to traveling and creating for many more years to come.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT WESTON WORKSHOPS

STEVEN;
SAN JOSE, CA

You guys balanced such a warm, welcoming atmosphere with professionalism that made someone like me with zero experience working with models feel encouraged to ask questions and absorb best practices. Honestly, that was the most free I had felt in a while and I had an awesome time being surrounded by artists and models looking to create meaningful work. I left feeling inspired to continue creating and pushing my limits to get out of my comfort zone. Can’t wait to attend future workshops.

Jess;
Burbank, CA

I wanted to share thoughts about my experiences attending your workshops. First of all was getting to know you both and observing your dedication to your heritage, art, and sharing all that with those of us privileged to attend. I came from an advertising and corporate background which I was very comfortable with. Being part of the workshops I was allowed and encouraged to come out of that comfort zone and revisit the joy of personal creativity and storytelling with my images. The fun and camaraderie of working with such professional models along with Kim’s insight was a life experience.

Mark Sloan;
Danville, CA

The Wildcat Studio Nude Workshop is one of those very rare workshops that exceeded every expectation I had. It was wonderful from an artistic point of view and absolutely magical as a personal experience that I will treasure for a very long time.

Sean Patrick Hill;
Louisville, Kentucky

I came out to Carmel to explore the range of landscape photography using a 4x5 view camera. Kim began by showing me prints of not only Edward and Brett Weston, but his son Zach, as well. We talked about what makes a good composition, a good negative. We spent a number of days at Point Lobos, Soberanes Point, and Monastery Beach, wrestling with erratic light and wind to get shots as close as aging cypresses and granite monoliths to the vastnesses of the Pacific and its clouds. He built up my confidence as I composed shots on the ground glass, helping me to not only get everything in focus, but to consider the play of contrast, the light and shadows that give a photograph range. On the final day, he taught me to make gelatin silver prints, a task I have since carried home to Kentucky, working frequently in the darkroom I built immediately upon returning. Most of all, what I brought home was a deeper sense of what it means to be not only a photographer, but an artist.

  • "The bottom line for me was, my return visit to Wildcat Hill was a highlight in my photographic journey."
