"Photography as a Lifestyle" Lecture - Arts Habitat

Arts Habitat will present photographer Kim Weston at Arts in Progress (AIP) on Tuesday, August 26, for a presentation entitled Kim Weston: "Photography as a Lifestyle"

Kim Weston - Nude in Sotogrande SpainKim will talk and present the idea that he is not just a photographer when he is behind the camera. That photography is a much greater thing and it encompasses all aspects of his life. From the relationships with his wife, son and friends, to cooking elaborate meals and working in his garden. He will explore how these things affect and mold his photography.

Kim will share his most recent photographs taken from his latest Spain Nude Workshop and his travels to Arles, France. And talk about the importance of interacting with students and broadening their insights to "photography as a lifestyle".

AIP takes place the fourth Tuesday of each month from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The event takes place at the auditorium of the Museum of Monterey at Stanton Center, 5 Customs House Plaza, Monterey. AIP is open to the public, the admission fee is $5 and complimentary refreshments are served. The first and last half hours are devoted to socializing and community building.
