Last Wildcat Nude Workshop for 2016
Join us for the last workshop of the 2016 season held at Wildcat Hill this year! Have you been wanting to take a workshop with Kim Weston? Here is your chance to come to Carmel this year. "An Adventure of a Lifetime! That's what Milan and I discussed driving back to Los Angeles. The last few days were awesome. What a wonderful atmosphere to learn in. Kim and Gina, you were awesome hosts. Learning about the Weston legacy first hand was incredible. I was flattered to be able to show some of my work. Shooting side by side with Kim was inspiring. Gwen was awesome and just nailed each concept. Enjoying a delicious lunch and the conversation was enlightening. I could go on and on about the things I'll remember so fondly.
The bottom line is an expression of heartfelt gratitude for allowing Milan and I into your home and teaching us about the Weston Family Style of photography. We are all a sum of our life experiences. This was definitely and Adventure of a Lifetime. I hope to return next year to be able to spend more time on Wildcat Hill. On behalf of my friend Milan and myself, A heartfelt thank you". Gary

Are you planning for some time off? Come and stay at Wildcat Hill in Bodie House this summer! The season is in full swing. What a great spring we have had so far. We had 2, 4 Generation Weston Shows hung consecutively at the same time, one at Viewpoint Gallery in Sacramento and one at the Scott Nichols Gallery in San Francisco.Both shows came down on June 4. We hope you had a chance to see some of the photographs. Thank you to the Viewpoint Gallery and to the Scott Nichols Gallery. And thanks to all that attended!
We have taught 2 Nude Photo Workshops, where we made some wonderful images, photographed with some talented artists and worked with our talented models, Jennifer Jones, Sara Streeter and a new model, Marian Liddell. It was a great experience.

Have you always wanted to visit Wildcat Hill and see Edward Weston's Darkroom? Here is your chance! In this 25-minute video Kim takes you into Edward Weston’s original darkroom and shows you the very simple techniques that Edward used throughout his life - a historical journey back in time to see how this master used basic tools to make incredible art.
This negative called “Spring” was photographed at Wildcat Hill in 1943. The nude in the photo is Charis Wilson, Edward’s last wife. Edward Weston photographed many wonderful photographs of Charis around his home during the 1940’s.

Nude Workshop Photographs to Share
We would like to share some thoughts and photographs from our new friend Jerry White, after he attended The Weston Nude Photography Workshop in May 2015. We have so many talented photographers that join us every year for our nude photography workshops. I will be sharing more with you in the next few weeks. If you have photographs from a previous workshop contact me and we will get some posted. Come and join us in October at The Weston Nude Workshop or The Desert Resort Figure Workshop and make some new photographs with us!
Spain Photo Workshop Highlights!
Beyond a unique photographic experience, here are the highlights that will complement our program during this fabulous workshop: On April 16th, after our welcoming arrival in Barcelona we will visit the Picasso Museum and see the exhibition Picasso/Dali. Dali/Picasso. For the first time in history, two legends side by side in an exhibition celebrating the surrealism. In the outskirts of Barcelona we will visit the famous Cathedral of Cava: CODORNIU where we will have lunch. Grupo Tragaluz will offer us a extraordinary culinary experience during our nights in Barcelona, where we will try mediterranean food and tapas, served with the best catalan wines. Also during the weekend in the Costa Brava, we will stay in PERELADA, a unique vineyard close to the Dali Museum in Figueres.
Finally on the afternoon of April 22nd, at the end of our workshop, we will have a private visit to Foto Colectania Foundation, the most important photographic archive in Spain. More surprises will happen along our program. But for these you have to join us...
Desert Resort Figure Workshop Oct. 1-6, 2015
Join Kim Weston and Mark Comon for another creative retreat and photo workshop in the beautiful high desert. Capture the stunning big skies and scenery of the desert and unleash your creativity with expressive figures. Our shooting locations are the Anahata Springs Resort, a serene mineral water spa in the middle of the beautiful Desert Hot Springs and Joshua Tree National Park, a fantastic desert location with jumbo rocks and other-worldly vistas. We will practice figure modeling and photography amidst the mid-century designs of this spa retreat, in and around the resort, by the pool, and then we will venture out to photograph within the natural wonders of the surrounding desert area. 2014 Andalusia Spain Photo Workshop Video
Please enjoy this short 3 minute video recapping our favorite locations from our 2014 Andalusia Spain Photo Nude Workshop. We photographed in the Alhambra, castles, palaces, a 14th century home, Tito Pepe - the most famous Sherry Winery in Spain and a beautiful modern estate in Sotogrande. We photographed, ate amazing culinary delights, laughed, made long lasting friends and had a wonderful time. Thank you Miguel Soler-Roig and all of the workshop participants.We are currently working on 2 shows in Spain from our last years workshops. We will attend the openings just before our next Spain Workshop April 17-22, 2015.
