San Miguel Mission Workshop/Book - May 2011
Come join us at the San Miguel Mission for a truly memorable photographic experience. Founded in 1797, Mission San Miguel is a National Historical Landmark that has been an important part of Central Coast history for over 200 years. Come experience the rich history of Mission San Miguel. During the workshop we will have access to roam freely in areas the mission normally restricts to the public. There is so much to see and photograph on and around the grounds.
Tania Cernochova, Slovakia - Visiting Wildcat Hill
Last month while I was doing my morning walk in the rain at Carmel River beach, I ran into Tania, she was wet and carrying a large back pack. She was "couch surfing" down to Los Angeles with her next stop down the coast past Big Sur. I offered her a place to dry off and keep her stuff safe and then drove her back to Point Lobos to spend the day. Hi Gina, this is Tania, the girl you brought home on that rainy day at the beginning of November, remember?:)
John Cyr - Developer Tray Project
Hi Gina, I just wanted to write and let you know what a privilege it was meeting you last week. It is an honor to include Kim in my Developer Tray project. It was also such a personal thrill for me to be able to visit such a house so important in the history of photography. I think that it is wonderful how you both have kept it so true to how it was originally set up, the darkroom included.

Visiting San Miguel Mission
Last week we drove 2 hrs south, down Hwy 101 to the San Miguel Mission with Martin Vargas Garcia. Kim presented Father Larry of the San Miguel Mission, a gift of a portfolio of work that he took when we attended the workshop with Al Weber in 2009. It was a wonderful visit and Father Larry gave us a tour of the mission and the areas were we will be able to shoot in at our upcoming workshop San Miguel Mission Workshop and Book Project on May 12-15, 2011.
Happy New Year!
