Discover YL Boyer Ranch west of the Continental Divide, in the foothills of Wyoming's Sierra Madre Mountains, where sagebrush meadows meet aspen groves and open alfalfa fields. In 1905, John and Mary Boyer settled here with their eight children, building the YL Ranch—a horse and sheep operation that once ran 30,000 sheep across thousands of acres. By 1926, they added three log cabins under the cottonwoods, opening one of Wyoming's first guest ranches.

Beautifully situated along the Savery River with the Medicine Bow National Forest nearby, you'll spend four intensive days shooting in high desert light, receive personal critiques from Kim, share meals family-style, and experience the authentic Wild West.

Gas up in Rock Springs, WY (181 miles east of SLC)
East of Wamsutter, WY: EXIT 187 onto WY-789 South
WY-789 South 51 miles to Baggs, WY
In Baggs, turn left at Howard St/WY-70 East
WY-70 East 11.3 miles to Savery, WY

From Savery to YL Boyer Ranch

~8.5 miles on dirt road

Once in Savery, you'll see the Little Snake River Museum on your left and the Savery Store (currently closed). Turn left onto the dirt road just before the museum—this is Savery Road.

Drive approximately 8.5 miles
Do not bear left on Road 561 around mile 1
At ~7 miles, you'll cross a bridge
At ~8.5 miles, look for the ranch house on your left with a red roof (both house and barn)
