Why This Workshop Changes Everything
Edward Weston didn't just take photographs—he revolutionized how the world sees art. When you create here, you're not visiting a replica. You're working in the authentic environment where photographic history was made.
Your Four-Day Journey
Day 1 (Thursday Evening): Share your work with the group and meet your professional models - an intimate introduction to set the tone for your creative experience.
Days 2-4 (Friday-Sunday): Three intensive shooting days at two stunning locations - the legendary Wildcat Hill where Edward Weston created his masterpieces, and a private Big Sur estate offering sweeping creative possibilities. A family-style dinner brings everyone together during the weekend.
Morning critique sessions and ongoing personal feedback throughout accelerate your growth far beyond what's possible working alone.
INSTRUCTION + CRITIQUE
Your breakthrough moments happen here. Zach and Kim Weston become your personal mentors, working one-on-one with you on lighting mastery, compelling composition, authentic model direction, and discovering your unique artistic voice.
But the learning doesn't stop with shooting. After your first day, you'll participate in a focused critique session where they provide personalized feedback that transforms your approach for the remaining sessions. This isn't just evaluation—it's acceleration of your artistic growth.
Ready to dive deeper? On your first evening, you're invited (but not required) to share your existing work. This helps the models and your instructors understand your photographic style and tailor their instruction to unlock your full potential.
